Three Different Types of Control
The PC Smart Touch is a stand alone computer with its own display and keyboard that can be remotely located anywhere up to two hundred feet (sixty meters) from the device. The system has built-in protocols, automatic metering, an almost unlimited storage capacity for patients and their treatment histories and a prescription system that makes it impossible to inadvertently give the wrong dose or the wrong type of therapy.
The most feature rich control system anywhere, Smart Touch provides an audible countdown of the treatment for your patients, in a choice of languages. A unique security system ensures that each operator of the device has only the level of operational authority that you grant them. And each treatment is thoroughly documented including the name of the operator, time and date, and time and dosage delivered. All records can be printed by patient or by day. Smart Touch also allows you to sort data on all of your patients by skin type, age, and total dosage, to name a few.

The SP Smart Touch has all the features as the PC, described above, but the control system is mounted in the device and data entry is by means of a high resolution touch screen display that is conveniently mounted on the outside of the device.
The X System, like the Smart Touch systems has automatic metering for both UVA and or UVB. Each type of UV, on combination units, is controlled by a separate controller. A required “back-up” system adds an extra level of security to the dose entry process to make sure that if an error is made it will not compromise safety for your patient.
Benefits
Daavlin’s two-door design is the most space efficient but the interior is large enough to comfortably accommodate your largest patients.
Two quiet, yet powerful fans are mounted at the top of the unit for a total air movement of 200 cu. ft. per minute. Patients can turn these fans on or off for their personal comfort.

The Daavlin 3 Series has retained the popular open top that enhances ventilation and is not disturbing to claustrophobic patients.
A discreet observation window allows staff to monitor patients without compromising privacy.
Integrating Dosimetry is an integral part of Daavlin products.
Available in 3 operating systems offering flexibility for your budget needs, the 3 Series X is controlled by our Flex Controller while the 3 Series SP and 3 Series PC, our flagship units, are controlled by the SmartTouch control as described below.
Unparalleled Features
Cosmetics… The 3 Series features a blemish resistant exterior that is made for easy cleaning and will look like new after years of use.
Service… Each 3 Series device is professionally delivered, installed, and calibrated by trained Daavlin service technicians.
Safety… Redundancy systems, sensors and “hardwire interlocks” (a system that does not require a properly functioning machine to operate) make the 3 Series our most safe and secure ever. The safety of your patients was foremost on our minds as we developed this product.
Smart Touch…The Voice System
Daavlin’s SmartTouch voice system system is better than ever. You can choose messages to be spoken in a male or female voice, in English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic (male only), Turkish, Chinese, or Finnish. This can be programmed on a patient-by-patient basis.
The system tells patients the estimated treatment time and then counts down the treatment time.
Smart Touch…The Accountability System
You decide who is authorized to adjust protocols or treatment schedules and who is qualified to just administer treatments. A user PIN number documents every adjustment to patients’ records.
Changes to a patient’s prescription can be done ‘on the fly’, but only if the operator has sufficient authority. If sufficient authority is lacking, a special logon requested, and when a PIN with the proper authority is entered, the dose can be adjusted as desired, quickly and easily, but with proper documentation.
The SmartTouch control has a sophisticated tracking and reporting system. The date and time of each patient’s treatment, type of UV, the dose in Joules or milliJoules, the actual treatment time, and PIN number of the administering phototherapist is recorded. If any changes were made to the patients planned treatment, this is also recorded. It also has the capability to make comments on the patients’ records.
